The Trapeze Loft opened its doors in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn ln the Spring of 1999 under the direction of Tanya Gagné. The Loft was founded as a place to learn and improve circus skills in a professional yet relaxed and supportive environment. Personalized instruction is offered in private lessons and small group workshops.

In the Spring of 2011, The Trapeze Loft packed its bags and moved across town to its new home, Big Sky Works, a new multidisciplinary arts space, also founded by Gagné.

Classes at The Trapeze Loft focus on individual goals and are a fun way to get in shape, build strength and flexibility, and develop mind/body awareness. No prior experience is required - just a desire to learn and grow.

Instruction at The Trapeze Loft is customized to meet each student's needs: while some come for the rigorous exercise, others seek to build skills to help them advance their careers in the circus arts. No one escapes without having fun.

The Trapeze Loft offers instruction in: Single and Double Static Trapeze, Partner Acrobatics, Contortion, Silks, Lyra, Cloud Swing, Handstands, and Hula Hoop. Private classes are also available.
